okay so maybe i was born
in the wrong decade
(by 30 years or so)...
and maybe instead of lounging on a chaise
by the pool this summer
in my big, floppy hat,
reading a book (without pictures),
i'll be chasing little e around nonstop...
and maybe it would leave an eerie tan line
on my left shoulder...
but it still makes me irrevocably happy.
