today's pin was an adorable fabric pom

that i've had my eye on for quite some time.

you start with a plain japanese lantern,

and cut out..

ohh.. a million or so circles from any fabric.

they don't have to be perfect.

(obviously!)

then you just fold each circle in quarters

and glue them on the lantern.

tada!

i learned some things that will help

when i make the rest for the party.

it's huge! 

i should probably start with a smaller sphere

(maybe just a stryofoam ball).

then i can use smaller circles so it won't be quite so floppy,

but overall, i think it will be great to use for the ballerinesque decor.
