The Royal Viewing Party That Wasn't

from the moment "waity katie" got that ring,

i knew i wanted to host 

a Royal Wedding Viewing Party.

you know i love me some britishness!

I was so excited for weeks...

the invites were out...

and then i had two weeks of sick children horror.

ugh!

we went from stomach bugs,

straight to other flus,

complete with 103-degree fevers that would not come down.

all four of them were sick,

and that is pretty draining on a mama.

i had done as much preliminary prep as possible

and was starting to get my dining room ready...

and then ta da... 

my very first (self-diagnosed) migraine.

i had hit the proverbial brick wall.

ugh... 

so i sent the cancellation text 

and went off to bed.

the only good thing about this nonparty

was i didn't have to share my Digestives.  ha ha 

{this was the fish part of my 

"fish and chips" setup.

and yes they were swedish... so what?}

so i really doubt i will leave 

the dining room decorated until 

Harry ties the knot,

but at least i now have a gigantic Union Jack flag

when he does.  ;)
