at first glance...

i said, "awww...."

little e had snuck into the baby's room

and given him her favorite stuffed animal.

but as i looked closer,

she had also given him 

a pair of my old stilettos 

from the dress-up bin

and a barrette...

because of course he needed those too.

so we had our first 

"only soft things and 

only when mama and daddy say yes" speech.  

since then, we've been golden.  ;)

"things will always be this lovely.")
