Hall Decking Wrap Up

yes, i realize it is now almost a week into january.
yes, i realize i am just now
posting pics of the house decorated for Christmas.
please bare with me as i am in extremely slow motion.
you're such forgiving blog readers.
please know i appreciate you.  ;)

picking out the tree.

it was shortie's turn to put the star on.
(of course it got adjusted to
the actual top of the tree later,
but she was very proud of herself and
clapped every time she came down in the morning
and said, "yeah, edie!... star!"

our snow punch from Christmas Eve Dinner
i just love this punch,
and it truly does look like snow glistening on top.

i have yet to figure out
how to photograph a tree
so you can actually see all of its splendor.
next year, i'll do some research and
try to get a better pic
(you know because i have
nothing else going on this year.  hee hee)

now, don't think i can't see your judgmental faces!
i do realize there is a neutral theme going on.
trust me when i tell you that
it actually does look Christmasy in here.
in fact it looks like a glitter/sparkle bomb went off
that even Uncle Phil with all of his
Explosive Ordinance Disposal training couldn't stop,
so please don't feel sorry for us.  ;)

because in all actuality,
this is my favorite decoration this year.
lily made it for me at school
and it was the only green and red thing in the entire house.
and we displayed it proudly.

i hope you all had a wonderfully Merry Christmas!
