when lily turned five,
we decided to start a little girl tradition
of spending the day with just her in NYC.
we love doing things one-on-one with the girls,
but i think they love it more.
and hello! it's NYC,
so if i have to "endure" it for
the sake of the children, well, okay! :)
unfortunately, elle turned 5
when i was still nursing little e,
so she would've had to come with us,
thus defeating the one-on-one time.
so like a true champ,
elle waited a whole year and 3 months.
woke up bright and early.
within minutes, she felt she was a genuine New Yorker
and wanted to dart across streets
when she saw the lit up white man,
so immediately a strict "hold dadddy's hand in crosswalks"
policy was established.
such a city girl!
enamored by the Christmas magic!
okay, so we did some mommycentric things.
cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery.
{snickerdoodle on the left and vanilla on vanilla on the right. umm.. yum!}
i practiced some MAJOR self control.
this day was about elle,
so i waved as we walked by.
the tree!
more self control.... ouch!
tiffany's at christmas. ***sigh
stop at FAO Schwartz.
we postponed the carriage ride through central park
until she and lily were together.
but she still got in some horsey love.
the plaza!
we took lily to see Mary Poppins
and to American Girl to get her doll,
but E already has her doll,
so we opted for something else little-girl delicious!
the eloise high tea at the plaza!
how cute is this little room?
genuine lunch at the Palm Court.
divine, divine, divine!
divine, divine, divine!
"there are couches in this restaurant!" -e
brief stop at Dylan's candy bar
with embedded candy in the steps.
then we headed to the central park zoo
so our little animal lover could get her fix.
it was a great day,
i love my little elle,
and am so grateful for this precious time!
I am Eloise, and I am 6!

that elle fits in anywhere and has a ball! love her.
